Don’t fall in love with a travel girl

She’ll take your heart I know that well,

She’ll love you sweet and leave you beat,

She’s a bird that’s gona spread her wings,

So don’t give her those heartfelt things,

She’ll love you honestly and true,

She’ll want to spend her life with you,

She’ll think about you every day, but when the sharp itch digs into her feet,

She’ll be gone with kisses sweet and neat.

There’s much to see and much to do,

She can’t resist and nor can you,

So hold on tight if you don’t mind,

Or better still fly close behind,

But if you can’t, free her easy

Cuz you know, she’s very busy,

Din’t Ma’ tell you not to fall in love with a travel girl?

She’ll take your heart I know that well,

She’ll love you sweet and leave you beat,

She’s a bird that’s gona spread her wings,

So don’t give her those heartfelt things.

A moment to revive

It is alright to rest when you are tired and have been working too hard. It is necessary to gain your strength in order to move ahead. Sometimes we are too hard on ourselves but the end goal should always be kept in focus, as it is the motivation.

When I am a bit too stressed I take a few minutes to myself to visualize a beautiful island, with the sun above peeping through the clouds, and the waves lightly kissing the shore and not a care in the world.

I find it is most effective when it is a place I have been, so I think of Morro de são  Paulo, with the people dancing Capoeira in the village square to the mesmerizing sound of Bahiana music, or the calming waters of the Iguaçu falls which feels like the very essence of peace pouring down.

We should always take a few minutes each day to revive.
